Hello, would anyone be interested in mentoring someone new to day trading the ASX? It wouldn't involve much apart from the occasional email and question for advice. Maybe there's someone out there who's been doing this for a while and has been looking to impart/share some of their knowledge for a while.

Note I am not looking to get/steal someone's strategy or edge, but am damn well going to be asking you what you did to develop and find your edge and/or strategy so I too can perform those same actions to develop mine. Also for the people about to post "Why don't you just post threads/questions here for advice", previous attempts at doing exactly that has led to no advice/answers to those questions or at best unhelpful commentary that doesn't directly address the question.

So if anyone would be interested in doing some mentoring - aka answering the occasional question, sharing your findings about how the ASX operates, scanners you recommend, software you recommend, stocks/industries you avoid, the kinds of trading you think best apply to the ASX market - please let me know.

It might help you to start a thread with your questions or do a search to view some of your questions above which have been covered before on ASF.

You will also get a broader opinion than that of one person and a variety of styles.

So ... I did a search for "Find Your Edge " ticking the "search titles only " box and came up with this.

All the best.

I've been around the block a few times and have learned a thing or two. I'm not looking to share my strategy or edge, but I'm more than happy to guide you in developing your own. I've been in your shoes before and know how tough it can be to get started. Let's connect and I'll do my best to answer your questions and share my experiences.

Trade indice , less research required , less to go wrong . no trading halts , no earnings , no capital raises etc etc . its easier to make 0.5% 200 times than make 100% once while maintaining a Max DD in a single digit % over a year/years . Sleeping on mostly cash everynight is extremely under rated
