Is there a list anywhere... that shows what ETFs on the ASX can be shorted (ie. buy puts or calls?) I know u can do this with the ASX200 index but apparently u can do it with some ASX ETFs but I cant find a list anywhere that shows which ones its possible with ?
Thanks! Grant

thanks for your reply I am aware of those stocks but there not what Im after.
I want to buy puts or calls against ETFs on the ASX. ie they have a strike and expiry (those other products dont do this).
Thru the ASX u can do this against individual stocks (and the ASX200 index). But I want to do it against other ETFs - but cant find anywhere a list advising which ETFs have this available.

Hi grant7
Warrants??

If you know specifically what EFT you are interested in, your trading platform will advise - after you type the ASX code.
Should be a Tab called derivatives. Can check what options exist.

This link should be helpful for you.

This link should provide you with knowledge about % a stock has been shorted.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

although i don't short ( well i rarely 'flip ' sell a stock i hold and buy-back cheaper , but that has it's risks as well )

shortman is useful for other investors ( let's you know how much downward pressure on a stock )

if you know how many shorters are lurking , you get a idea how 'low-ball ' your buy orders can be ( should you be buying )
