The high court , in another classic case of the legal profession looking after its own, has ruled that a Queensland Justice cannot be sued for for wrongly jailing a man for Contempt.The original decision by Justice Salvatore Vasta was overturned on appeal, and the appeal judges were scathing of Vastas conduct.In one of those stange coincidences, Salvatore Vasta is the son of Angelo Vasta, a Queensland Judge, is the only Judge who has ever been removed by Parliament from the bench.
