Australia still  in a winning position, though history would suggest India is not completely out of it.

Australian fielding was poor. Three dropped chances, one of them a complete sitter, but was ameliorated by a brilliant catch by the same bloke who dropped the sitter.  Carey has been a positive for the team, but there has been a consistent problem where he goes for catches then bails out leaving first slip (usually Warner) grasping at air. Has happened a few times, and he needs to work with coaching on that one.

The bowlers were not as good as the previous day, with the exception of perhaps Boland, but even he was a bit off.

The one brilliant ball from Lyon on the previous day could not be repeated, and he was expensive.

The problem with noballs, where Cummins missed three wickets because of them, is nobody's fault bar the bowler.

If Oz batters can last another 150 runs and take the lead to 450, they are almost impregnable on a pitch that is still offering plenty.

But it aint over yet.
