Yeah, a convincing win in the end, and a good all round team performance where everyone contributed something.
Yet I still think there are some problems.
The biggest worry was the Captain.
His bowling was good at times, but he was let down significantly by the 10 no balls he bowled, three of which cost wickets.
The other bowlers had 3 between them.
Boland bowled three more overs than Cummins over the match and bowled zero no balls.
He is also pretty ordinary at managing the DRS system.
Two of his DRS calls were completely wasted.
The first thing he needs to do is to completely ignore Labuschagne, his DRS judgement is a liability.
Then be more circumspect with when he uses them
Catching DRS decisions need to be particularly well managed, as you lose a review if they are not determined in your favour.
At least with the LBW review there is chance of keeping the review opportunities if it returns umpires call.
Time to move on to the ashes.
Will be most interesting to see how the bazball cricket goes.
The ground sin UK tend to be smaller, so sometimes even mis hit slogs can go over the ropes.
Australia may well struggle, as the English bowling attack is probably equal to that of OZ( assuming that Andrson is fit to play) , except perhaps for the spin department.
Moeen Ali has not proved to be successful against Oz in the past, whereas Lyon has done so for OZ.
The English batsmen are in form, with some impressive new talent like Brook, Pope and Josh Tongue.
Should be an entertaining series.
