For me it may be a matter of higher liquidity therefore a tighter spread.When I was doing my research on these I seem to recall that GOLD had a lesser counterparty risk.To be honest I kind of like physical, but have some holdings in GOLD.My physical is HODL, whereas my GOLD (and ETPMAG) may be subject to some trades... Therefore contest risk is less.
