Not sure if you guys have discussed this one, but Managed Funds and Margin Lending through ANZ and E Trade do not speak to each other!!!!I transferred my Margin Loan to ANZ from HSBC as I thought it sensible to have Stockbroking/Margin Loan with one portal. Little did I know - or were told - that my Managed Funds held under Margin Lending with HSBC would not be recognised by E Trade. The result: A Margin Call on the day my Margin Loan/Shares transferred across because the equity in the Managed Funds was not taken across as well!! After explaining the problem to them, it still is not going to work until I get a second Margin Loan organised for the Managed Funds and transfer equity from that into the shares Margin Loan so I can actually trade with it.Rediculous.
