learned some ( harsh ) lessons with gold miners in the Philippines , with difficult seasonal conditions and remote locations from what i was watching on pay-TV reliability and durability count more than size ( large plant and parts can sometimes be a logistics nightmare ) i would not be surprised if Pogo continued to be a high cost producer even as new finds are being developed but then 3 years down the track gold might be $US 3000 an ounce
