Hmm, the implications are that maybe a Binding Death Benefit Nomination isn't binding no matter the assurances provided by superannuation funds.The need for a further certificate indicates to me that insurance issues could have been involved but why that cannot be treated as a separate matter to paying out the the superannuation balance itself is beyond me.
