Not really Rumpole. The massive solar flare of 1859 fried the electric telegraphs systems of the time and created some spectacular sights around the world. Such an event would burn out every computer chip that it hits. But it isn't the right sort of energy to directly kill people.The stock market might look a bit sick though.
