Yes, everyone would be horrified if the government did it, but my question is, if Google say did it, sure they don't own an army and their aims are directed towards profit but - if they know where I am in the world at any time, how much of a step would it to take control?Or just use this information to have undue influence on Government operations?I would argue in the USA, where workers rights are lower, and IT already have a direct line to Government, it wouldn't take much for an alliance to take place to our detriment.That said, I thought the Bunnings plan where they match faces from a database and destroy all other records was OK, as long as this wasn't modified in the future. (But how would we know?).And I cant see Bunnings trying to takeover the country.
