This is the sort of post that explains one of the reasons I block often and widely. Its typical of the times we live in with the internet as a major means of communication. People use ad hominem attacks to bully anyone who holds views inconsistent with their own, weaponised polarisation is everywhere on SM.

I dont want to have to read the bile so many people resort to online, pretending that this sort of weaponised polarisation is somehow open rational discussion and we should just accept it is not a compelling argument in my view.

My life is so much better for never having to read this sort of content, here and on the other platforms I engage on, I am no longer triggered by seeing hatred, bigotry, racism and misogyny. I no longer have to read people's ad hominem attacks on my points of view, all of which makes me happier and saves me time - life's most valuable resource.

This means I can spend more time having interactions with people who do have divergent views to mine - but can express them rationally and without abuse and bad faith arguments.
