Commsec Website Changes

In fairness, I should post that I finally got in and it's running at a reasonable speed.

Now all I want them to do is to let the page get wider so that if I expand the print size the columns don't look too cramped. AND let me customise the page a bit by giving me a choice of most-used actions to keep on my most-used page.

I don't like this Actions business.

As a user of Commsec with few needs, I am dissapointed in the changes because the readability of their site is now classified as poop! and I generally just use a watchlist.

It's harder to read/compare and now I suppose I am stuck trying to get used to it, no one likes change, especially not this one!

back to normal for me now.. must have been struggling with the load..

Changes are different, but nothing really has been removed.. I'd argue nothing has been added that really helps our user experience either!

Well - I'm along way away - but HEAPS slower for me.
watchlists work but reloading anything is painfully slow...

????????????WHY????????????

seems to be better now for me too. maybe the initial slowness is because the browser can't rely on cached pages from 'history'. - has to reload the new format from scratch.???
still - watchlist seems to disappear into the void sometimes...

I can't believe they removed the "thousands separator" from the volume column (watchlists). Not only do I have to squint to read the font, I have to go crossed-eyed to read the volumes.

Thanks Commsec. Happy new year.

Watchlist doesn't appear on Safari for Mac - What's wierd is it worked for me over the weekend with their new changes :-(

i use quote tracker and since the changes at commsec it wont work
anyone having the same thing happening

I think that it will just take a little getting used too.... with the smaller font atleast I don't have to scroll around all the time in my lengthy watch lists.

Hey guys, have spoken to comsec, (12mins on hold), they claim the changes were in response to customer feedback from their "experienced users"...hmmm, ive only been a member since 99/2000.

Anyways, going by that theory, customer feedback should have an impact. Im in the process of writing to them.

Anyone else unhappy with the changes, or with some positive suggestions can email client relations:

cslclientrel@cba.com.au

The more emails to them, the more chance we can actually get what we want.

Oh and in response to why the changes now, they said that the first day of the fin year wasnt really all that important or a big trading day.

quotetracker works for me, but having problems viewing market depth - well, it does not display anything within quotetracker.

Tim

A volume column with decimal places? The last I checked it wasn't April 1st, so they really shouldn't be doing things like that.

A Right-Alignment HTML tag in the ALL of the watchlist columns will feed 10 starving children in Africa.

The 'Action' button... I'm gonna bite my tongue and only point out one problem: On Firefox, its a one way street, if you press it... theres no going back.

After much anticipation, we finally have the SECOND webpage on the internet that was designed by a monkey. Watch out www.monkeymofo.com

Agreed, the thousands separator was useful, also what is with volumes with decimal places?

Another glitch that has escaped the geniuses at Commsec. I have the XAO in one of my watchlists. The % change is the same as the point change. So at 2:00 p.m today the All Ords was 6336.6 up 38 points and also up 38%. Surely the biggest one day percentage gain in history.

Is commsec down coz I cant even get to commsecs hompage? I've rung them no one is picking up been holding for about 20 minutes at least I reckon.

It's up form me.
Sheses these changes need some tweaking.
And yeah, whats with decimals on volume? Is it possible to buy a fraction of a share?
Comsec is now so slow whats the point of having broadband or cable?
They have till monday and if it's not fixed then I shall be writing them a very nasty letter. :p:
