DEG - De Grey Mining

Last weekend, with a myopic vision, I was contemplating some wishful thoughts on DEG on the side of M & A
What about DEG gets acquired by Roy Hill, MIN or GOR in next 24 months or when HEMI project gets it feet into?
Traditionally MIN has not established itself greatly to acquire a developer and that too in gold area. Same applies for Roy Hill. But both are risk takers and large organisations. GOR has its strategic investment on DEG already and knows better the future of gold as well as DEG.
Should I revisit this wishful thought in late 2026/ mid 2027 ?
May be gold will go up following Uncle Sam's demise and geopolitical reasons in Iran, Ukraine or Poland ?

12 months of drilling for just 7-900K ounces? I know there's a lot of infil to de-risk Brolga to get the Measured number required to start mining, but it doesn't seem that much overall. They must have done 60-80Km of drilling as a guess. Maybe I'm being picky, they've obviously got more than enough to start mining and work out the LOM later.

What do you think about it Miner?

They're building up quite a significant resource. Do they need to produce anything more for the final financing plan or is it just full steam ahead to building and digging?

Not sure if any of these things are important:

De Grey is basically improving its target

My 2 cents.
I do believe the information is important to keep the market what is happening since BFS. Specially the release of measured resources from previous inferred and indicated resources a must know item. It builds up credibility and confidence without any surprise.
Traditionally most of the projects undergo good change between DFS to execution phase due to level of engineering undertaken by definition on a DFS and thereafter in FEED. In addition there could be some design changes.
For DeGrey good part is they have had good confidence on the Process and have ordered most of the long lead critical equipments. I would probably say, they could have waited to keep money in the bank for few more months:). But that shows De Grey's confidence and hence the decision made.
Infact I believe this report showing some hidden fruits to expand the life of Hemi once open pit mining is completed. That is a smart and sustainable strategy.
I have no concerns on the steps taken and ASX reports

Could Hancock group be venturing into gold through De Grey ?
My speculation there are two suitors - Newmont and Hancock Prospecting
Atlas already leased a land to De Grey ?

I don't think Gina would. Does she know gold? I think she knows iron, cattle and boots. And shares her wealth to make Australia a great Olympic nation. Good darts. Does she have an AC yet? Should be the next GG.

I think Newmont or Gold Fields will buy it.

Newcrest should have and maintained their position as the Big Australian in Gold. That was a very disappointing capitulation.

The EPA notification published for public comments has not escaped the attention of punters, raising the SP a bit. Hopefully, more people and newsletters will read that and write juicy stories tomorrow :)

Reported today via New Corp Media

Gold giant Northern Star is buying De Grey Mining, securing one of the largest undeveloped gold assets in Australia, in a scrip deal that values the target at $5bn on an equity basis.
Shares in the $20bn Northern Star (NST) last at $17.51; the $3.7bn De Grey (DEG) last traded at $1.52, implying a 37 per cent premium.
Both parties entered into a binding scheme implementation deed (SID) that will see De Grey shareholders receive 0.119 new Northern Star shares for each De Grey share held at the record date for the scheme, representing an implied offer price of $2.08 per De Grey share and a total equity value of $5bn on a fully diluted basis.
The deal helps Northern Star secure De Grey’s flagship project, Hemi, a low-cost, long-life and large-scale gold development project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The Hemi Project is one of the largest undeveloped gold projects in a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction globally, with mineral resources of 11.2 million ounces and ore reserves of 6 million ounces and forecast annual gold production of 530,000 ounces per annum over its first 10 years.

I had been trading on DEG for years. Until the last large parcel bought in May 2021at a high price $1.61 since then stalling in my holding.
Share price kept falling until 2 mths ago, I decided to sell at higher price. At open time manage to sell it.
I started to calculate what NST will give DEG holder, decided to buy that same amt of NST units that I wld have receive n discover I still have some loose dollars to keep in my pocket.
No regrets on my part to sell DEG at high price.
NST price drops, fingers cross to pick up a parcel soon.
