The automotive union is very powerful in the US. They have been trying to force Tesla to unionise their workforce, but they refuse stating the example of the big 3 vehicle manufacturers and their inefficient production.

Biden is beholden to the unions.

Except people are dying on both sides..and the EU is finalising its economic suicide...
It is a sad state of affairs when western values are more associated with a Russian dictator than voted EU leaders, not to say anything of the US which was (mostly) a beacon of freedom in my youth but is now a beacon of destruction and freedom extinction not to say evil if I was a believer...
Good to see Elon, and a few leaders in the US still holding the flame of hope

Ukraine is being starved of ammunition from USA due to lower house blocking aid hence they are withdrawing.
You need to negotiate from a position of strength not weakness if you want Putin to do a deal.

Yes, that was when Boris said NO to treaty, and valid when Ukraine still had soldiers: young men and women alive, and not on the Riviera on in an hospital/cemetery .
Now it is NATO troops doing the fighting , and getting losses .
I hope Australia is not on the ground but would not be surprised..the Aussie "volunteers" already dead there were more like SAS guys than "medecins sans frontiers" types
Poor Ukraine, plunged in a civil war by the CIA including famed Biden whole family, and now looking at a future split a la Korea.

In any case, weapon or not, they are screwed.for anyone interested in real news of Ukraine, read indian news, and confirm, at regular intervals with a western updated map of the front..
As for Musk position, pretty clear: better now than when Russians are in Odessa ....

Ultimately, Neuralink’s ambition is to use implants to connect human brains to computers to help, for example, paralyzed people to control smartphones or computers or blind people to regain sight. Like existing brain-machine interfaces, the company’s implant would collect electrical signals sent out by the brain and interpret them as actions.

Elon Musk and convicted felon Donald Trump have been in contact several times a month since their private meeting in March at the home of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, according to The Wall Street Journal. They’re discussing an advisory role for Musk if Trump wins back the White House in November — potentially giving Musk influence over economic policy.

How Musk treats his employees

Consider Trump’s MO of treating underlings like dung. In 2022, Musk fired half of Twitter’s 7,500 employees, including teams devoted to combating election misinformation — and did it so haphazardly and arbitrarily that most had no idea they were fired until their email accounts were shut off.

This was after Musk fired Twitter’s executives “with cause” to avoid paying them the golden parachutes they were owed. And after he taunted Twitter and the law firm it worked with in its lawsuit against him, suggesting he would sue all of them.

Musk’s concern about the dwindling number of people seeing his tweets prompted him to convene a group of engineers to discover why his engagement numbers were tanking. When one of the company’s two remaining principal engineers explained it was likely due to waning public interest in Musk’s antics, Musk fired the engineer.

A few weeks ago, Musk laid off 14,000 Tesla workers. They discovered they no longer had jobs only when their keys to the parking lot no longer worked. In order to receive severance, they had to agree not to participate in any lawsuit or mass arbitration against the company or publicly defame Tesla.
