Health Issues

Having been absent for some time, though I have looked in but decided not to contribute until now.
I saw the Cardio Surgeon today and the news while it was good it wasn't what I quite expected.
It is only 3 weeks since the pacemaker was put in, so it is a bit early at this stage.
The Surgeon won't be available for a couple of weeks, hence the early appointment.
Still limited arm use with no lifting above the head out front or sideways.
I have to go back to the hospital on the 28th at pre dawn for a limited stay for the recalciant muscle to be given an electric shock or two or three or more to get it into the correct rhythm
Then back again the next day see the revered Heart Surgeon for the follow up post op appointment.
With a bit of luck I may be able to get behind the steering wheel next week as the 6 weeks of nil driving will be reached.

only one question; did you know beforehand it would be such a saga?

welcome back, btw
Good evening DF.
No the heart surgery was explained in vivid detail. NO to the surgery and I would probably have had a heart attack that would have taken me out.
The Pacemaker came about because my heart refused to cooperate after the surgery and wouldn't pick up the pace to what is deemed normal.
This is the bit that has put me on the back foot so to speak.
No longer can I do any electric welding, or test an electric with a fault finder, but a small price to pay in time and being healthy again.
