@mullokintyre A bit strange that Gene, his wife and dog all expired at the same time.
I did enjoy watching Gene Hackman in the several roles that he portrayed.

The age difference with wife makes it weird to expect a double suicide?

Sad indeed for all involved.
Saddest part for me was : the two kids had not spoken to him " for some time " .
