I dislike Daniel Andrews intensely

Just a touch of Karma... not enough, but at least something.

A lot of businesses are jumping on board. It's actually a great way to punish these bastards as a warning to the rest of them. Out of control politicians that abuse their power need to be made an example of.

Hope this prck gets banned from everywhere. All businesses should be supporting this.

Dan Andrews' fans turn on Jim's Mowing after he was banned

Fans of Dan Andrews have turned on Jim's Mowing after the franchise banned the controversial ex-Victorian premier from using any of its services.

Jim's Mowing boss Jim Penman was the latest in a growing list of business owners to publicly ban Mr Andrews last week, Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed.

Mr Penman has slammed the Victorian Government over its Covid lockdown measures, and in 2020 he joined an ongoing multi-million dollar class action against the state.

He said on Friday he would never mow Mr Andrews' lawns or allow him to use any of the company's other services, such as Jim's Legal.

But many Victorians have rallied to Mr Andrews' defence on social media, questioning whether the ex-premier would even care about the snub from Jim's Mowing and its franchises.

'Something tells me Jim's "anything" was never at the top of Dan's list,' said one.

'That is fine. I will just add any of Jim's franchises to the list of businesses I boycott,' said another.

'Dan wouldn't touch him with a forty-foot barge pole,' fumed a third.

Mr Penman has joined the likes of ex-AFL star Paul Dimattina, who runs popular South Melbourne venue Lamaro's Hotel, and who banned Andrews from his venue last week.

Meanwhile, restaurateur Chris Lucas revealed he told Andrews' wife Cath 'not available' after she called up to book a table at his Windsor eatery Hawker Hall located at the once bustling Melbourne Chapel St precinct during the Covid lockdown.

Mr Lucas also revealed Di Stasio, a famed Melbourne restaurant group that is not part of his hospitality group, also refused Andrews a booking for his birthday around the same period.

Both Lucas and Di Stasio's owner Rinaldo Di Stasio were outspoken critics of Mr Andrews' hardline approach to Covid which saw Melbourne suffer 262 days of lockdown - more than any other city in the world.

But restaurant owners, who say the lockdown crippled their business, are not the only Victorians blacklisting Andrews.

Prestigious National Golf Club on the Mornington Peninsula banned Andrews from joining and there was also rumours exclusive Portsea Golf Club knocked back the ex premier.

Melbourne golfers were outraged by the Victorian government's ban on the sport during lockdown, despite it being in the open air with large distances between players and providing a rare outlet for exercise.

Andrews was Victorian Premier for almost nine years before he resigned in late 2023.

He has since taken on a new role as the chair of Orygen, a youth mental health research organisation based in Melbourne.

In October, Orygen's board of directors appointed him to fill the position for a three-year term.

His appointment has been criticised due to the toll that the pandemic reportedly took on Victorians' mental health.
