Wow wee ... what a great Aussie win against England - record run chase ODI champions trophy. England scored 352 and then from 2 fa 27, Josh Inglis ... came to life and smashed them pommies... 120 no off 86 balls.

Great win and plenty records broken

Kind regards

OZ mens team knocked out of the Championship trophy by India.
Losing Short due to Injury messed things up a bit, it was messed up even more by plonking Cooper Connolly into the opening role.
Looked completely out of his depth.
Similar to Jake Fraser-Mcfurk, lacks consistency, but can hit it well when on song.
Maxwell failed again.
Its looking more and more like his best days have gone, and his position must be under question.
Ellis has been the one shining light, bowls intelligently, and I would like to see him bat further up the list.
For all that, the tournament was set up so that India would be likely finalists , if not winners.
They were based in Dubai so did not have to travel to Pakistan.
Played all their games on the same stadium pitches.

Yeah, favoured treatment for India, playing by their rules.

If they did not want to play at the same places as everyone else, they should have been kicked out of the tournament imho.

Well, the last thing a coach can do, is tell the truth, that disagrees with the narrative. 😂

Looney tunes wins again, you can't tell the truth, if it hurts peoples feelings, unless you are extremely left wing then you can say WTF you like. :roflmao:

The man who was head coach of England's women's team during its historic 16-0 Ashes thrashing at the hands of Australia Down Under has been sacked.

Jon Lewis was contracted as head coach until the end of 2026 but has parted ways with the team, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Friday night (AEDT).

That review has now resulted in Lewis, who had taken up the position in November 2022, losing his job.

Lewis attracted widespread criticism and ridicule when he remarked at the completion of the Ashes series' white-ball matches that Australia's outdoorsy lifestyle gave Alyssa Healy's team an advantage.

"You guys need to come watch [the team train]. I promise you, I cannot defend them more around how hard they work on their physicality," Lewis said after England was belted by 72 runs at Adelaide Oval in the third and final T20.

"They are incredibly dedicated to what they do. I've never seen a cricket team work like this cricket team, and I've worked in professional cricket for 31 years.

"I walked from Bondi to Coogee last Sunday evening and pretty much every Australian in the eastern suburbs is in the water, doing surf life saving, playing touch rugby.

"For me, that's a cultural difference. I definitely think Australia have an advantage in terms of athleticism, and also our talent pool at the moment is small, so it's important for us to grow the game."

Shame on him, I mean how dare he say that the Australian cricket team worked extremely hard on their fitness and that England need to lift their game.
That's not cricket, actually it smacks of Trumpisms, where people are expected to lift their games. 😂

Ha, looks like they have outrage media over there too.

If he said the same things about a men's team, no one would notice, but knock the girls and you are toast. ;)

Ah yes the loonies, tripping over their self righteousness, with their hypocrisy.

A team can't be better, because of effort and dedication, it was the other team tried just as hard and didn't lose, just failed to win.

Which was no ones fault and we hope it doesn't happen again, sounds like the mentality of the Western countries in general.:roflmao:

Best we have a chorus of Kumbaya and the Australian cricketers need to stop training, to bring their level down to a competitive playing field in the name of inclusiveness. 😂

Sheffield Shield GF update - Qld vs SA
Today (26/03/25) 16 wickets taken at time of post ...
Qld bowled out for 95!!
SA 6 fa 113

Go Queensland !!!

Kind regards
rcw1
SA 6 for 158, already 60 odd runs in front.
Fraid that the South Australians are in the box seat.
They will need a lead of at least 150, the wicket is flatenning out and I doubt that Khawaja and Labuschagne will fall as cheaply in the second dig.
I have no allegiance with either team.

Update
SA bowled out for 271 in the 1st Innings
Qld currently 3 fa 150 in the 2nd Innings with Clayton 21not out and McDermott 1 not out, after scoring a hopeless 95 in the 1st Innings

soooooooooooo at the minute Qld still behind SA's 1st innings total...

hmmmmm Qld need allot more runs yet on the board to make a game of it. Hey, anything is possible, weather permitting ...

Good evening
Brace yourselves ... !!!

The two Queensland Jacks have led a defiant Queensland fight back as the miracle of winning the Sheffield Shield after their first innings of 95 is now a possibility.

Jack Clayton and Jack Wildermuth have both hit centuries on day three of the Sheffield Shield final, giving Queensland to a total of 445 and has set South Australia an imposing 270-run target .

Looking to be a real good battle this one.

The pitch seems to have flattened out considerably.
Still have my money on Sth Australia.
Centuries in a shield final are worth two in a regular season match.
High pressure, usualy the best players competing, its a tough gig.
The first Jack , Wildermuth, may have left his run too late given that he is approaching 32.
But Jack Clayton is a man to watch.
Captain, still only 26, and scored his second century of the season.
A solid middle order left hander who bowls left handed wrist spinners, something a little unusual these days.
Fast bowler Calum Vidler is also one to watch, one of a number of young players from the victorious U19 world cup squad.

Wll Pucovski has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket due to concussion issues.

A real shame, but if he can't handle a fast rising ball, there was not much option.
