What was the link?
I like it when people explain it to me like I'm 5 years old. 😉
Try reading this one, probably has little to do with FMG.

Bonta’s office said the suit is “another attempt from Exxon Mobil to deflect attention from its own unlawful deception” and that the attorney general “looks forward to vigorously litigating this case in court.”

In its own statement, the Australia-registered non-profit organization Intergenerational Environment Justice Fund said it’s not controlled by Fortescue and its activities in California were to “take action on the issue of plastic waste.”

Fortescue, which is not named as a defendant, rejected Exxon’s assertions in the suit, including the claim it orchestrated litigation to gain a competitive advantage in the low-carbon energy space. The Australian miner is “fully committed” to green hydrogen, a spokesman said in a statement. The Sierra Club didn’t respond to a request for comment.

It is ok, a few hours later it was in all fmg related streams

I am choosing FMG again for the 2025 full year tipping comp.

At sub $18 it is , IMO, way undervalued. Hopefully continued success with iron ore sales and green energy developments will see a revaluation of it over the year (or not..)

I haven't looked at FMG trading in detail before, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen the likes of early trading such as this.
Probably not uncommon though for the bigger stocks.
Have to decipher some of the codes yet..
It's all on ASX though, not sure about CHIx.
Found it interesting that over $3.1 million has traded so early by big wigs and the prices paid !

That is crazy curious.o_O

FMG I think briefly went over $18.00 on Friday during normal trading. The figures of $19-20 paid on $1.5 m of shares seems bizarre.
Nothing has happened this morning that might suggest some late breaking news.

Can anyone offer an explanation for the anomaly ?

When you consider average volumes, then daily turnover of around $90 million as a lower end average, it's probably not much of an anomaly at all.

I'm sure there's a reason to it though, but it's likely inconsequentialiin the big scheme of things.

Bigwigs shenanigans.

They're all option expiries from the previous day - the prices (they're all option strikes where the ones ending in .01 and .51 are Europeans) and the volumes (all exact multiples of the 100 lot size) are dead giveaways. None of 'em are mine though!

EP = expired put
EC = expired call
XT = crossed trade ie. part of some combo or spread

It's funny how FMG has for the last 10 years been priced for almost immediate disaster lol. Even with slowing Chinese demand, iron ore is essential for the world. Like with all non inflating assets, the price should go up from current levels imo.
Fair value from my view of iron ore prices:
1995 -$25 (before China boom)
2005 - $50
2015 - $100
2025 - $200
2035 - $400
etc...

Sell if higher. Buy if lower.
