i exited FMG a while back when he started talking 'green initiatives ' fearing a R&D abyss

sure i made a nice profit last time by averaging down when it was below $20

but do i risk another ride ?

just gone ex-div. ( and the next div. might be less than stellar )

i will think on it sub $16 looks like a good place to start ( 'averaging down ' )

Someone tell Twiggy that investors don't care about philanthropy and maybe ask them first before you blow their money.
well to be fair Twiggy does own a fair wad of shares , but if he is going to rely on BIG money ( instos ) supporting him all the way .. he should prepare for disappointment ( grandma and grandpa accounts don't short shares )

thanks for keeping me skeptical about buying back into FMG

if you don't understand why , go back and look at a map of where Twiggy's Australian mines are located
add in the factor of fine iron impregnated dust ... and ultra fast chargers
Many mines across the world are already running electric vehicles on site.

Heaps of electric stuff in Port Hedland, or in any crushing plant on a mine site for that matter.

Electric equipment will improve over time, it's no different to when they introduced the PC to the world.

i was in warehouses using electric forklifts ( and pallet transporters ) over 50 years back ( well before the PC .. AND the PC has taken several wrong turns , but one day they will work that out as well )

there will not much to improve if China stops exporting rare earth minerals ( and the West won't do the dirty processing themselves ) after all an electric engine is a lot of copper wire ( which we find difficult to mine profitably ) and some magnets ( which now have some exotic minerals in )

but the future is coming enjoy it

If FMG is willing to make a multi-billion-dollar investment for electric equipment, FMG is willing to make a multi-million-dollar investment in enclosures. I am more skeptical that the life-cycle costs of electric over ice is going to be much greater.
