The Media

Looks like some media outlets are struggling since Meta refused to pay them for news.

Hence the governments media tax.

Google reviews is starting to go the way of the mainstream news, people networking, is becoming the goto research tool.

Google has become flooded with paid ads and suggestions for websites that have been maximised for their search engine ranking (SEO). Product reviews, which are increasingly common, aren’t always genuine. In December last year, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) reviewed 130 online businesses and found that more than one-third of reviews (including those on company websites and from third-party review sites) were misleading.

Same with YouTube. Its being deluged with ads for scam products, eg "gamma ray" flashlights and member hardeners, pretty gross really.

I haven't watched much you tube stuff, other than a few music clips, so I haven't seen much of the advertising.

But the daughter has Netflix and I watched a movie the other night, there were quite a few ads throughout the movie, which I thought was outrageous.
If you pay to watch a movie, ads shouldn't be shoved in to interrupt it IMO.
