IFocus - lol.

1) Imagine losing your job because an illegal immigrant took preference for half the price.
2) Trump wants peace, not war. Get that into your head.

That is exactly what the left don't seem to understand, the U.S and the Western countries actually made China the Super Power it is now, but the left want to use old style methods to move forward and it wont work.

The Democrats from the little I've seen of them, appear to want to keep the status quo going, where they keep importing cheap $hit from the 3rd world countries and keeping the U.S currency buoyant by printing money.
That modus operandi is coming to an end, China can't and won't be stopped IMO, they basically had a 21 century industrial revolution, so it is far more progressive than the industrial revolution the West had.

So moving on, Trump sounds like he realises that the only way to address the issue, it to force China to the table, at the end of the day China makes a huge amount of $hit but it has to have a market and the U.S and EU are the biggest ones ATM.

If this issue isn't addressed in the near future, my guess is the U.S won't be the reserve currency and then the West is in really deep $hit. ;)

Just my two cents worth.

This should be interesting?
How someone who has apparently has lost his marbles can actually pardon people, bring on the Republic in Australia. 😂 😂 😂

I'm lost, what has this got to do with the political structure of the Union of Soviet Socialist States of Australia?

How is applying a 25% tariff on Canada going to fix that ?

How is applying a 25% tariff on Canada going to fix that ?
What reasononing are they saying, for applying a 25% tarrif, is it to stop China using Canada and Mexico as a backdoor into the U.S?

Does Canada actually manufacture much, or is it's economy similar to ours, dig and ship raw materials?

I would expect Canada and the U.S to have fairly close ties and I do have friends who have moved there, so I can ask them, they will probably have a more feet on the ground knowledge of the issue.

One thing is definite though and that is the U.S has a big job turning the economy around, from a consume and print money economy, to an economy that can sustain itself by being competitive with exports.

Which is similar to most Western economies at the moment, even Germany is struggling and they as you know are the top of the pecking order in manufacturing. If China sends them broke, the EU is done and dusted.

At the moment people have a choice, buy the cheaper Chinese product, or the more expensive EU product, it wont be long before the only product available, will be Chinese product and if they decide to crank up the cost of that product, what option do you have other than just pay whatever they are asking?
That's when the problem really hits home, we can't demand the ACCC sort out the monopoly that China will have. Lol

That's what I was inferring, when I said the Democrats were hoping the status quo would just go on ad infinitum, when in reality I can't see how it can.
Why would China want to keep selling their stuff cheap to us, when they are the only supplier?
It wouldn't make sense, they owe us nothing, so why not screw us down? That's what the West did to them, when they where outsourcing their manufacturing in the 1980's and 1990's.

Beautiful - concise and clear as a bell. And there's early evidence that liberal Democrat mayors are starting to back down from their ourageous boasts that they will resist ICE deportation steps in their strongholds.

Trump has put Trudeau in a very difficult position

President-elect Donald Trump confirmed this week that he’s going to fulfil his campaign pledges on tariffs. There will be a 10 per cent tariff on China for failing to stop the flow of the illegal drug Fentanyl into America. And, he’ll put in place 25 per cent tariffs on Mexico and Canada because of their inability to stop illegal drugs and migrants crossing the US border. This puts Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a difficult spot.
Trudeau isn’t a strong political leader like Trump. He’s weak, ineffective and a political lightweight
‘As everyone is aware, thousands of people are pouring through Mexico and Canada, bringing Crime and Drugs at levels never seen before,’ Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. ‘Right now a Caravan coming from Mexico, composed of thousands of people, seems to be unstoppable in its quest to come through our currently Open Border.’
Trump then laid out his plan. ‘On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,’ he wrote. ‘This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!’
‘Both Mexico and Canada have the absolute right and power to easily solve this long simmering problem,’ Trump wrote in conclusion. ‘We hereby demand that they use this power, and until such time that they do, it is time for them to pay a very big price!’

Looks like first cab off the rank for Donald, is the hamas hostages.
Some would say it is about time.

Trump is mouthing off as usual.

"Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity"

He added: “Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!”

So Trump is going to nuke Gaza, just like Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

No he will give money and weapons to Israel to do it for him.
I have no doubt that Israel will drop whatever they can get their hands on onto Gaza, WestBank and Lebanon.
The most likely scenario is that most of the hostages are already dead.
They fighting over dead bodies, but it suits both the Israelis and Trump.
